Marine & Power Equipment Service Technician

We are a well rounded service department where we conduct service work, installation of accessories and out of province and salvage inspections of virtually all makes and models, however we predominantly work on our house brands of Honda and Yamaha.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Marine and Power Equipment Service Technician will have the following primary responsibilities:
- service and repair of outboard engines, Waverunner (PWC) and sportboats
- removal, installation and rigging of outboard engines
- setup and pre-delivery inspections of marine products, boats, and outboard

- and other responsibilities as required.

In addition the following responsibilities may be included depending on skillset:
- setup, service and repair of power equipment, including generators, pumps, mowers and snowblowers
- setup, service and repair of ATVs, SXS and motorcycles
- and other responsibilities as required.

We are looking for a person with
- excellent mechanical skills and the ability to work on their own
- their own basic hand tools
- familiarity with Windows programs such as diagnostic tools, email, and others
- a valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License
- a valid Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate
- ideally direct knowledge of Yamaha and Honda marine products
- ideally a forklift license and experience (strong asset)

Our work hours are 830am to 530pm Tuesday-Saturday with 2 days off per week, 5 works days per week with scheduled days off. There is the potential for weekend work for special events etc.

Level of compensation will depend on applicants experience - range between $30 - $40 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
